At kBrooks Design Studio, we specialize in providing clear, concise, and professional design and production drawings. Whether you need detailed design drawings, presentation-ready visuals, or streamlined production documents, we’re here to support your workflow with accuracy and efficiency.

Our background is the shop floor.

We know what drawings should be and how integral they are to great workflows. Our founder, Keith Brooks, was a craftsman for 15 years and those years inform his constant effort to build the best workflow to simplify the process and make building easy.

We have created **The Design Template** inside Sketchup Pro to facilitate a speedy workflow from project inception to final drawing package that provides all the sections and details you need to communicate your design to your customer and your shop floor.

Full Sketchup & Layout Workflow. Our template creates 2D plans and elevations instantly allowing us to model and then just clean up the presentation.

Robust 3D Sketchup cabinet, appliance, and plumbing fixture modeling libraries for efficient modeling of your projects.

2D and 3D details for all cabinet types, with three different construction methods (1/2” back, 1/4” Back Outside Nailers, 1/4” Back Inside Nailers)

WORKFLOW:

Phase 1

Build project scope and receive all design assets and data. Create list of all needed outputs (drawings and details).

Phase 2

3D Model all rooms in scope. Construct initial 2D drawings with dimensions, notes & schedules. Conduct a Thorough Review.

Phase 3

Build out drawing package with corrected plans and elevations, section details, cabinet details, and all schedules.

** Note: Number of rooms and complexity of details will impact deliverable time frames

: He has 35 years in cabinet & furniture making as both craftsman and design professional. He has a degree in Architecture and uses that background to craft well-documented drawing sets for craftsmen of all stripes.

Gloria Brooks

: She is all about business and people. With a degree in International Public Administration, she brings a strategic, business-minded approach to complement the visionary creativity of a leader, designer, and craftsman—grounding big ideas with structure, focus, and purpose.
